God save us from World War Three

Belgrave Close Claremount Halifax

WE constantly endeavour to make the world a safer and better place for all to live in, even if we enter into wars that are nothing to do with us.

Imposing more sanctions on North Korea may not bring forth a more peaceable friendship and might turn a smouldering situation into more than a horrendous new world war.

The Shadow Foreign Secretary, William Hague, has asked why as well as banning military hardware, the United Nations is also stopping North Koreans from getting their hands on such things as Ipods, violins, skis, golf clubs, bowling alleys and billiard balls?

They can't smoke cigars, dowse their armpits in toilet water, eat caviar or truffles.

All of this will only make the world's most boring country even duller.

At least one man cares, even if the United Nations do not.

Please God let us have a spell of love and peace.
