Good luck in fight to end horror of seal cull
PO Box 6500 Nottingham Local Member of the European Parliament Diana Wallis (Yorkshire and Humber Region) has been given the important job of writing a report on the issue of banning seal imports into the European Union.
This crucial report will respond to draft legislation that could end an horrific trade that links Europe and the UK with the clubbing to death each year of hundreds of thousands of seal pups.
However, Canadian sealers have been fighting to weaken this legislation and create loopholes that could allow the trade in their cruel products to continue.
Opinion polls in the UK have consistently shown that the overwhelming majority of people want seal imports banned.
Diana Wallis is to be congratulated on her appointment and we sincerely hope that she will respond to what the people of Europe want.
