Let the pro-hunters be the prey

York Terrace, Akroydon, Halifax I FEEL I must reply to the stupid letter by Gordon Thorpe ("Go on: prove that hunting is cruel", Your say, January 8). How absurd.

I once suggested to another killing addict that, as it was not cruel, would he like to be the prey? I suggested giving him a start then releasing the dogs on him. He would no doubt realise that hunting is a terror to the animals.

If these "brave hunters" like a fight they should join the Army. There is plenty there but, of course, they themselves would be in danger. This would put these lily-livered bullies in a fight.

As for not seeing a fox killed he must be blind.

Hunting with these chinless wonders is still taking place. They refuse to accept it has been banned.

To have a fox torn to pieces by hounds must give these people some sort of weird satisfaction. What a pity they cannot lead a normal life and live and let live.

Perhaps a few falls from horses resulting in broken necks would be some compensation.
