Remove cones for better flow

Park Stone Rise Shelf

For the last few days the cones have been moved from the inside lane at the King Cross traffic lights and road works on to the verge – guess what, traffic flows freely, no problems.

Today, cones have been put back, so has the queue – it took me 10 minutes to get through at 16.50. I presume it wasn't the council that moved them!

The lights do not need rephasing – the brains of those responsible for putting the cones back probably do.

Yes, you are bound to get one or two queue jumpers if the lane remains open, but I would rather swear at the few as they cut in than spend 10 minutes in a pointless queue.

Has anyone from the council bothered to go out and check what is going on? I am hoping that whoever moved the cones off the road comes back and does the same again.
