I would like to write and praise Craig Whittaker who seems to be facing some criticism from Labour's Steph Booth over his handling of Children's Services in Calderdale following last week's report.
I don't want to go into detail, but Craig's department have helped me personally in the past year and he has been nothing but a huge help and a great support.
It seems to be that he recognised that things were bad, he wanted to
know the details and did all the right things to do that. What exactly would Steph Booth have done differently?
She is hardly a shining example to us all, is she, with her employment tribunal and allegation upon allegation about her past.
I'm not a traditional Conservative voter and I don't live in the constituency Craig is fighting at the General Election but, if I did, I would vote for him without question.
It's about time people stood up to say thank you to those who are elected to represent us.
I can't imagine it's an easy job and the criticism they get from opponents and the media must be hard, so I wanted to put my thoughts on record and I hope you print this letter.
