Why not tax Harry's exes?
Stainland Road Greetland I note that veteran Labour MP Harry Cohen has decided not to stand for re-election, claiming the strain of defending expense inquires has become intolerable.
The MP lives in his East London constituency and has apparently claimed more than 300,000 in second home payments since 1990.
He apparently now says that it was "part of my salary", which in reality is what most MPs have thought for a long time.
If Mr Cohen regards it as salary, will he now pay, back tax, National Insurance, interest and penalties on the "more than 300,000".
I've just seen a pink elephant flying past my office in West Vale!
