Baring almost all for animal charity

It is a constant source of wonder how far people are prepared to go, to support the things they truly believe in.
Take the bunch of amateur models, men and women, who paraded on the catwalk in Todmorden this week.
In bridal wear, men's and women's fashion and then, in briefs and lingerie.
A straight forward job for a professional, but perhaps the teeniest bit embarrassing for someone who has a more mundane day job.
They agreed to bare themselves, well almost, to help save bears and other animals across in the Far East.
The result is that Animals Asia Foundation, a charity defending animal welfare now finds itself £850 to the good.
Not only that, but they hope the money will help them adopt a recently rescued bear.
The animals are kept in captivity in parts of the Far East and milked for bile which is used in traditional medicine.
It is a cruel practice and one that should not happen.
The overall effect of the Todmorden event will barely create a ripple.
But then Rome was not built in a day.
