Model moment to remember

Inspirational is the only word to adequately describe the catwalk fashion show organised by the breast cancer nursing team for Calderdale and Kirklees.
It is an event where all the models strutting their stuff are breast cancer patients.
This year among their number was a great-grandmother of 88.
The show unsurprisingly, was a sell-out. More than 400 friends and family cheering on their loved ones as they modelled clothes from a number of local stores.
"It is such a tremendous, emotional night. It is a wonderful event not just for the models but for their family and friends who come along to support them," said one of the organisers.
It also offers patients respite from the traumas of fighting a disease like cancer and the fears that accompany it.
Photographs from the show will be edited for a 2009 calendar.
It will be a wonderful memento of a special occasion – and a tremendous way to salute these incredibly brave women.
