Helen is radiant with fabulous new look

SHE was supposed to be in Italy visiting her daughter.
But Gail Platt's face tells a different story.
Gail has been missing from my favourite soap for a while and returned to the street looking 20 years younger.
I know a suntan can perk you up, but I reckon it takes a whole lot more than a high dose of vitamin D to look as transformed as she does.
But however she has achieved it, she looks simply amazing. She's a changed woman and we are all now envious of her glowing skin and taut neckline.
While she might live in Cheshire with her husband Michael Angelis, Helen, whose real name is Cathryn Helen Wigglesworth, is a Yorkshire lass through and through, and one of my favourite Corrie characters.
The 57-year-old was born in Leeds, and her grandmother lived in Bradford and ran a boarding house for music-hall stars, which many believe gave Helen the desire to become a thespian.
She joined Coronation Street in 1974 at her third attempt and in that time has certainly had her fair share of top story lines.
Her character has not had the easiest of lives and was starting to look weary (who wouldn't with her family?) so her new makeover might herald the start of something better for Gail.
Corrie bosses aren't saying anything on her new look other than it is her own private business. Which well it might be, but that doesn't stop inquisitive females like me wanting to get to the bottom of it. For now we can only speculate on Helen's new youthful looks, so I do hope she comes clean and tells us. Having said that the suspense is more exciting than any of the present storylines. Producers please take note...
