THE young Bradley Hall 1 pairing of Andy Appleyard and Andy Shaw have booked their place in the final of the Halifax and Huddersfield Union's Goodalls Caravans sponsored Scratch Foursomes competition.
They secured an impressive 3&2 win over Huddersfield 2 duo Richard Broadley and Brad Tupman, and they have home advantage in the final which will be played at Bradley Hall on Sunday, September 21.

On that day they will meet Dewsbury 2 pair and fellow Union regulars Ben Crowther and Edward Battye, who beat Halifax 1 duo Clive Crawshaw and Mark Birkett 5&4.

In the Handicap Foursomes final on the same day at the same course, Meltham 1, who are Peter Branston and Martin Latham, will meet Castlefields 1 pairing Shaun Harris and Ryan Joyce.

The Meltham duo booked their place by beating Outlane 1 pair Simon Wagstaff and Chris Hall while Harris and Joyce had a one hole win over Crow Nest Park duo Nick Day and Das Hartley.

The Junior Foursomes Final will also take place at Bradley Hall on September 21, and will see Crosland Heath 1 team Michael Lawrie and Alex Brown take on Willow Valley 1 duo Lewis Howell and Tom Calvert.

The Crosland Heath lads beat Huddersfield 1 pair Joe Hill and Guy Goodall 3&2 in their semi final while Willow Valley booked their place by beating Longley Park 1's Adam and Mathew Colcombe by 2 holes.
