A MAGNIFICENT sum of £4,000 was raised by the Southdale Homes Charity Golf Day in aid of Macmillan Cancer Support which took place at Halifax GC last week.
Despite indifferent weather, it proved an extremely successful and enjoyable event with Richard Gartland and Ian Johnson of R S Developments, Halifax, winning the Stableford event with a 41 points total.

Second with 38 points was Mark Doherty of Elliott Dent and Roger Till from Tees Valley Housing Group with Sunil Mukerjea and Ray Nugent from Browne Smith Baker Architects third with 26 points.

The longest drive prize was won by Shaun Fitzpatrick of TNS Joinery while closest to the pin was Paul Tyler of Ryedale Plumbing, whose shot landed 2.58m from the hole and closest to the line was won by Richard Hughes of Southdale Homes.
