CLUB captain Michael White made the most of calmer conditions early in the day to register a 35 point total which proved enough for victory in Bradley Hall GC's final competition of the season at the weekend.
The motorway patrol police officer has found the demands of work have limited his playing opportunities this year, but he certainly made the most of a rare chance to take to the fairways.
The two handicapper was one of the first out and just outscored playing partners Gary Parker and David Deadman along with Bob Airey and Mike Fisher, all of whom were just one point back on 34.
He then had to sit tight to wait for the later starters to come in, but in deteriorating weather conditions, no one could surpass his score and he claimed a well deserved victory.
In Division Two, it was a smilar picture with Rob Holroyd starting before 8am and accumulating the highest points score of 39 on a day when the CSS was set at 73, such was the difficulty of the conditions.
Division One: M.White 35 pts, R.Airey 34, M.Fisher 34, G.Parker 34, D.Deadman 34, M.Reddy 32, R.Jenkins 32, M.Appleyard 32, M.Bird 32, N.Gittins 32.
