THE youngsters at Lightcliffe GC have enjoyed a summer of such constant success they have delighted members and officials at the vibrant club.
No less than four of the club's 12s and under side played for the Halifax and Huddersfield Union in a tournament at Howley Hall, and all the quartet, namely Jasper and George Ayrton, Tom North and Charlie Jaffry, were victorious.
The junior team have also made the play offs after finishing second in their league, while Hannah Holden who was chosen for the Yorkshire girls team, and all at Lightcliffe are grateful to junior organiser Mike Peel for all his efforts.
The club have also had an incredible response to their junior golf camp which has run through the school holidays, with around 20-25 kids coming every day and many have been tempted into taking up junior memberships.
The scheme will run for another two weeks so youngsters still have a chance to join the fun. It runs from 11am - 1pm each day and costs £12.50 a day which includes lunch, and it is open to members and non members alike.
