Scratch teams line up

THE line ups and start times for the Halifax and Huddersfield Union Scratch Team First Division Championships have now been confirmed.
A total of 15 teams will compete for the Founders Trophy in the John Eyre sponsored event at Dewsbury District GC on Sunday, June 1.

The clubs eligible will be the top 11 teams from the 2007 Championship plus the top four teams from the recent Sec
ond Division Championship at Elland GC.

Therefore the teams from Huddersfield, Bradley Hall, West End, Meltham, Dewsbury, Woodsome Hall, Outlane, Halifax, Hebden Bridge, Saddleworth and Castlefields will be joined by Crosland Heath, Hanging Heaton, Queensbury and Elland who finished in the top four spots at Elland.

As usual, the format will be a scratch, 36 hole stroke play competition with all four scores to count.

The clubs occupying the last four positions will play in the second division of the following year.
