A STRONG and experienced Halifax and Huddersfield Union team will travel across to the Fylde coast to take on St Annes Old Links on Sunday in the traditional fixture between the two.
The West Yorkshire side will include the likes of 10 times Union champion Andy Whitworth and regular Union squad members such as Frank Greaves of West End and Hebden Bridge stalwart Iain Powell.

The squad will play foursomes matches in the morning and fourballs in the afternoon, with the two rival executives also taking part in a friendly match.

St Annes is of course a good drying course so everything looks set fair for a decent day's golf on the Lancashire coast.

The return match will as usual take place at the end of the season and is set for Halifax GC on October 5.
