Well, another Open Championship goes to Padraig Harrington, and although it may be something of a surprise, it is by no means a fluke.
Most players can learn a thing or two from him.
This guy practices non stop and refuses to give in whether he's going to shoot 65 or 85.
I'm not expecting most people to be able to practice non stop, but you can use your time effectively, by this I mean practicing areas of your game which need most attention.
To do this you need to keep records of your game ie fairways hit, greens hit, number of putts, up and downs etc, then you can go to the range or chipping green with the confidence that you are working on the correct areas of your game.
The second part of Harrington's game that has helped him is his determination.
The way you can learn from this is to believe that even when you hit a bad shot you can recover, rather than feeling down about it.
