Hannah Smeed said a planning application for a mixed-use development at Shaw Lodge Mills was refused at Planning Committee on 5th June 2007 on highways grounds.
The plans had previously been shown to a meeting of the Hailifax Renaissance team and had created a great deal of interest.
Following the refusal of planning permission, Shaw Lodge Mills Ltd and the design team have worked closely with Council Officer's to overcome the reasons for refusal, she said. We have also met with local Councillors to discuss amendments that are being made to the scheme.
