White Young Green are holding a public exhibition to review the proposals to develop an Urban Village at Shaw Lodge Mills on Wednesday 12th September between 3.30pm and 7.30pm at the main office at Shaw Lodge Mills.
Hannah Smeed said a planning application for a mixed-use development at Shaw Lodge Mills was refused at Planning Committee on 5th June 2007 on highways grounds.
The plans had previously been shown to a meeting of the Hailifax Renaissance team and h
ad created a great deal of interest.
Following the refusal of planning permission, Shaw Lodge Mills Ltd and the design team have worked closely with Council Officer's to overcome the reasons for refusal, she said. We have also met with local Councillors to discuss amendments that are being made to the scheme.

White Young Green are aiming to lodge a new planning application, however before the plans are finalised for submission we are holding a public exhibition for local residents and businesses to give you the opportunity to review the scheme proposals. You will be able to discuss the development, or direct specific questions to members of the team including the developers, planning consultants, highways consultants and the scheme architects. You will be able to make comments and suggestions on the proposals which the team will give due consideration to before the application is submitted.
