THE departure of Graham Holroyd from Halifax seems likely to spark a week of frantic transfer activity.
Fax pulled the plug on negotiations with their record-breaking stand off on Friday night after three months of contractual wrangling.

Now Courier Sport understands the 32 year old's exit has freed up the cash to try and complete a clutch of deals.

Front row remains a priority for coach Matt Calland, with Fax being linked with Bradford Bulls' young prop Neil Cherryholme, who is apparently being released by the Odsal outfit, over the weekend.

Cherryholme, an England Students international, has National League experience with Keighley.

Fax have already signed Cherryholme's teammate, Matt James, on a season long loan.
