HALIFAX chief executive Graham Clay has welcomed the inclusion of Toulouse in next season's National League One competition.
Courier Sport revealed exclusively back in July that the French outfit were in the running to join the second tier of the English game.
And Toulouse announced on their website yesterday that they would be accepting the Rugby Football League's offer of a place in a restructured 11-team competition.
"We've still to find out the nitty gritty of how it's going to work, but we're in favour of it," said Clay.
"The RFL are going to subsidise clubs' travelling expenses and, providing the details are right, then it is going to give the competition a different dimension.
"We're certainly not against expansion because it will keep pushing us to be the best club we can be.
"Catalans Dragons have been great for Super League and hopefully Toulouse will be just as good for National League One."
