Halifax v Celtic Crusaders - Calland: Crusaders 'best coached'

HALIFAX coach Matt Calland believes Celtic Crusaders boss John Dixon has set the coaching benchmark in National League One this season.
The veteran Australian has built both a formidable team and personal reputation since arriving in the Principality three years ago, and Calland believes it is well deserved.
"I would say they're the best coached side in the league," said Calland, who has seen his side narrowly lose out to the Crusaders in league and Northern Rail Cup rugby this season.
"John Dixon's an experienced guy who's worked alongside Wayne Bennett up at Brisbane and he's obviously learnt a lot from him.
"They are really hard to break down, really fit, good athletes and they have made best use of being full time, which I don't think clubs always have done in this league.
"We're the best part time team in the competition without a doubt, with a much smaller budget than the full time sides.
"And we need to get that second spot to give us a good chance of making the Grand Final.
"That makes tomorrow a massive game."
