St Alban's Over 60s Club meeting was opened by Lynda Merryfield, who welcomed guest Yvonne Egan. Birthday greetings were sung for Eileen McCoy.
Members discussed business, including a brass plaque given in memory of Frances Toolan. Arrangements for a ladies' social to be held at St Mary's Centre next Tuesday were made. Mrs Merryfield and her husband, Syd, were presented with ruby wedding gifts and members toasted their anniversary. Bingo winner was Monica Sherwood and raffle winners were Marion Porter, Margaret Skelton, Millie Haigh and Mrs McCoy. Miss Skelton won a photo competition. The next meeting is tomorrow.
