THE injury jinx that has blighted Halifax RUFC's season shows no signs of abating as they count down to the end of the season starting with tomorrow's long trip to Blackheath (3.0).
Coach Rhys Morgan has just about got over a crisis that affected the forwards but now the back division has taken a pounding with skipper Danny McGee and centre James Endersby ruled out.

"We no sooner get the forwards looking something like then we are hit in the backs," said Morgan.

McGee has damaged a collarbone while Endersby has finally received the results of the scan on his troublesome back problem.

"James has a bulging disc in his back and that is going to rule him out for the last three games of the season," added Morgan.

Morgan will see his pack boosted by the return of back row forward Dominic Moon from illness and fellow forward Matt Harrison from a trip back home to New Zealand.

Harrison will slot straight into the second row alongside Lee Brown with Richard White dropping to the bench.

Dual code back Oli Marns, fresh from a try-scoring appearance for Batley Bulldogs in their 29-16 victory over Dewsbury last night, will resume at centre alongside Ben Mitchell with Dave Hall and Gareth Brear on the wings.

Morgan will send his players out well and truly fired up tomorrow and will demand the same approach that served them well in the first half against Cambridge last time out.

"We will have to get in their faces from the start and impose ourselves on them and their game," added Morgan.

"We gave them a good game down there in the cup earlier this season and we have to look to that performance for the positives.

"We are going to need to stay together and stay focused over these next few weeks."
