RHYS Morgan hates the term 'must win game' but he knows that is exactly what Halifax RUFC face at home to Loughborough Students tomorrow (3.0).
Still searching for a first win after five National Three (North) matches, Morgan has targeted tomorrow's clash as the one to finally kick-start their season.
While Halifax have failed to pick up a single point so far, Loughborough have failed to win on the road and lie three places above Morgen's men in the table.
However, while expecting his players to lift their game still further following an encourag
ing outing against Fylde, last time out, Morgan will still issue a word of a caution.
"You have to look at Loughborough and say it is a game we have to target as winnable," said Morgan.
"Fylde put them to the sword a couple of weeks ago, although they battles hard by all accounts last week to earn a 3-3 draw at Hull Ionians.
"Reports since then have suggested that they will be at full strength for the first time this season with all the students returning.
"But we cannot let ourselves get distracted by that.
"There is still room for improvement and we have to work on the performance we showed against Fylde and carry that belief into the game."
Morgan does have a question mark over a couple of his selections with Danny McGee reporting for training with a touch of flu while other players were missing through work commitments.
However, Morgan is confident that he will have a full-strength squad to choose from.
Halifax were delighted to have Richard Szabo involved in training during the week - the former county prop making good his pledge to assist whenever other commitments allowed.
"Richard came down and ran through a scrummaging session with the forwards and I think he thoroughly enjoyed himself," added Morgan.
"It was good to see him getting involved and it gave our prop Paul Turner the chance to have a chat with him and run through a few things that he will be looking to utilise for the rest of the season."
