ADAM Morning could be in line to make his full debut for FC Halifax Town when they travel to Lancaster City tomorrow.
The former Mossley man - a substitute at Trafford in midweek - is on stand by to replace Junior Brown who has been diagnosed with shingles.
Morning faces competition for a starting place not only from Brown, who is likely to be included in the squad despite the virus, but also Dorryl Proffitt who was another of the second half subs in midweek.
"Adam coming on the other night was a real boost for us," said Town boss Jim Vince. "He is a class act.
"When he plays to the level he can there is no better wide player at this level.
"Dorryl changed the game when he came on, running at defenders. I like that in my teams.
"Having shingles explains why Junior has been a bit lethargic, but he should be okay within a week."
Matt Wooley could be included after missing the first two games with a hamstring strain but Ryan Sugden is still a couple of weeks from returning.
Like Town, Lancaster have opened with three points from two games, winning 3-2 at Harrogate Railway last weekend before crashing 5-2 at home to Skelmersdale in midweek.
But Vince is more concerned that his side improve on the standards they set in a 2-1 win at Trafford on Tuesday than the opposition.
"There is no point winning on Tuesday if we are going to throw it away tomorrow," he said.
"I have had a look at a video of Tuesdays game and the first half was super. Some of our play at times was great.
"We looked sharp, had plenty of opportunities to score and with a little luck could have been two or three up at half time.
"There was nothing wrong with Junior's goal which would have made it 2-0 just before half time.
"I knew it would come, it was just a matter of time for the players to get used to playing together."
Club skipper Tony Barras, who has yet to feature in a competitive game, has undergone surgery to solve his knee problem and will be out for a fortnight.
Meanwhile, keeper Craig Mawson has left the club and signed for Conference North outfit Droylsden.
Vince confirmed that an enquiry had been made during the week and added that he would not stand in the player's way should an offer materialise.
Vince has moved quickly to plug the gap by bringing Jon Kennedy back to the club.
Kennedy made 18 appearances for the Shaymen in the 2006/06 season, including the play-off final at Leicester.
The former Accrington Stanley keeper is well known to the Halifax boss having played for him at previous club Witton Albion.
