Statement from Halifax Town Supporters' Trust following appeal rejection
Published Date:

Halifax Town Supporters' Trust is disappointed that the clubs appeal over its expulsion from the Football Conference has failed.
The advice we had received was that the Football Association would back the Conference with its chosen punishment over the clubs failure to come out of Administration by the given deadline. However, we had clung on to the slight hope that the appeal would be successful allowing the club to continue to participate in the Blue Square Premier.
We are grateful to David Bosomworth and the members of his consortium for their efforts to maintain the clubs position in the league structure. If the Consortium does decide to remain involved with football in Halifax, the Trust reinforces its offer of assistance in forging a positive future for Halifax Town.
Should the consortium decide that they can not continue then a new club will need forming, with an application made to the Northern Premier League ahead of Saturday's AGM.
In view of this we would like to take this opportunity to remind the Consortium of the need to decide on their next step quickly.
