As Halifax Town Supporters Trust Chair and Vice Chair, it is important for us to formally and immediately announce our joint resignation from the board of HTST with immediate effect.
At a critical time for the Club, it is fair to say that there are unfortunately major differences of opinion held by Board Members as to the way forward, rendering it impossible to reach an agreement on a cohesive strategy. For this reason and others
, our position is untenable.

It is our considered and long held view that any future possibility of professional football in Calderdale has to be under the auspices of the business consortium headed by David Bosomworth. Recent criticism internally and externally of the Consortium is in our view wholly unwarranted, unprofessional and unquestionably prejudicial to the Club's ultimate survival/reformation.

We do have to recognise that certain board Members and we understand Shaymen Down South are more than anxious to have the 'fan-owned' concept as plan A. In respecting their personal views, this is a strategy which we feel we can not either front or put our respective energies into.

In a very difficult situation , both of us have done our utmost over the last three years to help give Halifax Town a chance of a positive future and we have no regrets whatsoever on decisions and actions taken at Trust Board level throughout this period.

We will continue to individually support David Bosomworth and his colleagues as much as we can and would encourage all fair-minded Town supporters to do the same now and in the future.

Thank you to all trust members for your support over our period of office.

Pam Burton and Roger Bottomley

Glen Ackroyd, of property firm A Quick Sake, deserves thanks for thinking of all those 200 ex-HTFC fans/supporters at this troubled time.

This very fine offer will give them all the chance to watch some real football now at Bradford City who have a complete stand.

Take up his offer whilst it lasts!

Also get you name down on the list to reserve your seat on the mini-bus

Well, well well. You've just to be able to guarantee to be able to play at the Shay. If the council agree to this because you should be treat as a new club.

Then there is the matter of the £5,000 - (meat raffle, sponsored walks, charity stalls in the precinct etc)

Another hard bit - a business plan - where and how you will be able to convince anybody, especially with the historical track record that ex-htfc have.

The most difficult now - a team, a ball, a strip - no idea for this one, sorry.

I'm sure you will all be better taking up the special offer from Bradford Bantams and go watch some real football rather than playing with Bradford Park Ave, Rossendale, Ossett Albion, Clitheroe or the likes of Harrogate Railway.
