SIDDAL under eights played in a mini festival at Brighouse where they were matched against Queensbury and the hosts.
Three minutes into their first game Morgan Smithies and Connor Taylor forced an error in front of the Queensbury posts and slick passing from Oliver Lewis and Harry Georgiou sent Thomas Holroyd over in the corner.

Lewis Hirst and Oliver Waite adde
d further tries before half-time after which neat first line passing by William Scrimshaw presented numerous opportunities for Siddal to continue the scoring in the second half.

Liam Whitton scored under the posts followed by a further three tries from Holroyd.

Unlucky Queensbury then conceded a knock on and Hirst took full advantage to burrowed over to complete the 36-0 win.

Siddal then took on Brighouse and completed their second victory with a 24-12 scoreline.

The home side trailed 12-0 with Smithies crossing twice. Hirst then made it 18-0 but Brighouse hit back with a good try of their own.

Oliver Lewis' short pass following a Brighouse knock on put Scrimshaw through then Waite dived over after collecting a Georgiou pass. Brighouse replied with two well-deserved tries just before the break.

Nendick was denied a try early in the second half but Scrimshaw burst from dummy-half to score his second and make the score 20-12.

Siddal were tiring but their defence held leaving Waite to add another try to his total to round off the win.

GREETLAND All Rounders under nines continued their winning ways with a hard fought 56-44 victory over the Cougar Cubs at Keighley.

Greetland were always second best in the first half to a much improved Keighley side but with tries from Jack Froggett, Lyndon Sutcliffe (2) and Jude Corcoros coupled with good defence from Harry Lovelady, Josh Yeadon and Sam Kennedy they kept the half time score to 24-20 to the Cougars.

The second half was pretty much the same with slack tackling from Greetland letting Keighley add further tries to their tally.

However, Greetland refused to lie down, and strong running from Alex Oldroyd, Jimmy Crabtree and Nathan Parker set up a hat trick from Callum Pilling while Lyndon Sutcliffe added another two to take his tally to four.

Corcoros ran in another two scores to claim his hat-trick and secure the win.
