OLD Brods under 17s took a step into the unknown with a trip to Northwich but despite having eight players away on Yorkshire District duty, they carved out a 14-0 success.
Back row hitman Jacob Miller moved up to scrum half and he grabbed Brods' first score, picking up at the back of the ruck then powering over, with Tom Booth adding the extras for a 7-0 interval lead.

The second period was much the same and it took
a moment of magic to break the deadlock.

Brods managed to move the ball to the right and Caleb Grinsdale cut a superb line and stepped past four defenders to cross under the sticks, Booth again converting.

OLD Rishworthians under 10s maintained their fine record over Huddersfield YMCA with a 45-0 success.

From the kick off the Reds pushed YMCA back and Jacob Bower fell on a loose ball to open the scoring.

Another driving maul saw the ball recycled to scrum half Will McDonnell, who released George Radcliffe for the second try.

The third came from a stolen ball in the line out near to the YMCA line, Thomas Sweeten shrugging off a tackler to stroll in.

Will McDonnell scored his first try of the game when he took the ball from the base of the scrum, sidestepped two defenders and dived over to make it 20-0.

The second half started with a score for the Reds, Jonathan Wheatcroft setting off up the middle of the pitch and shrugging off tackles to make it to the line.

Wheatcroft then went on another charging run only to be hauled down inches short of the line, but Oliver Swales picked up and dived over to give his side a 30-0 lead.

Jack Davis was quickest to a fumble and scored from three yards out before McDonnell stole in from five yards. Another steal in the maul by Nathan Cooper was fed out to McDonnell who raced 30 yards for his hat trick.

OLD Brods under nines produced a good all round performance in an 8-4 victory over Wharfedale.

Brods took control in the second quarter with an opening try from Sam Allan and four from Liam Stapley. The visitors replied with two tries to make the halftime score 5-2.

The second half saw Ben Stringer score twice and Abigail Crowther cross with a run from her own half.

Good tackling and support play from all the team restricted Wharfedale to two second half tries.

Despite a 6-1 defeat at the hands of Huddersfield YMCA, Old Rishworthians Raiders under nines played some of their best rugby to date and the scoreline did not reflect the tightly contested match.

Having taken an early lead through scrum half Kallan Jamieson, Raiders then struggled to defend as a team, allowing a couple of key Huddersfield players to break through the line four times before half time.

Rishworthians' defence improved in the second half with some committed tackling from Bell and Symms.
