OLD Brods under 13s put the previous week's Yorkshire Cup defeat firmly behind them to record a convincing 31-0 victory over Morley.
Bradley Allan opened the scoring under the posts within the first five minutes, converted by second row Bradley Scrimshaw.
The Morley defence could do little to hold up the powerful Brods play and flanker Gideon Binns was soon in at the corner to record the next try, once again converted by Scrimshaw
Brods continued to hammer at the opposition and good running through the middle of the park from scrum half, Jack Moger, kept the pressure on and it wasn't long before Oliver Clegg went over to open up a 19-0 lead at the break.
The second half started in the same manner with more powerful, attacking rugby from the home side.
Reece Ward took the game to the visitors with a thunderous run from halfway. Desperate defending managed to halt his progress two metres from the line but not without killing the ball. From the ensuing scrum Brods got the ball out to Moger who was soon in under the posts, Scrimshaw converting.
Wing man, Will Bates, burst in at the corner for the home side's final try after which Morley mounted a final, ferocious attack but the Brods defence proved equal to the task.
RISHWORTHIANS under 10s travelled to Old Brodleians to take part in a tough three way fixture with the hosts Brods and West Park Leeds.
A tough game against strong opposition saw the Raiders struggle to win possession of the ball. West Park threw the ball around with great confidence and dominated possession.
Rishworthians tackled well but were never at the breakdown in sufficient numbers to secure the ball and West Park ran in three unanswered tries to win 15-0.
The second game saw a complete turnaround as Rishworthians beat Brods 35-5.
Brods started well with their big pack making hard yards, but the Rishworth defence, spearheaded by the ever present Morgan Smithies, held firm.
As Rishworth piled over at the ruck, scrum half Vinny Maude spun the ball wide and centre Kian Stewart exploited gaps in the Brods defence and burst through three times to notch up a first half hat trick for the Raiders.
New boy Patrick Smallman crossed the whitewash to score a debut try after a great pass from Kian Stewart while Morgan Smithies also got on the scoresheet, taking Rishworthians into a 25-5 interval lead.
The second half saw the Raiders further extend their lead with Sam Puddephatt bursting though and then Tom Craven also muscled hisway over.
RISHWORTHIANS under nines secured a double success over Old Brods
A one-sided first game saw Rishworthians run out 40-0 winners.
Rishworthians scored at ease to lead 20-0 at half-time with a hat-trick from Carrick Keighley-Payne and a fine try from Tom Stott.
