Rugby Union: Budding stars flock to Brods

THE junior season at Old Brodleians kicked off with a bang at the open day and signing on day last Sunday.
Fourteen junior teams from under sixes up to the under 19 colts trained before signing on.

In excess of 250 youngsters will pull on the Brodleians junior colours this season and they will be assisted by a host of qualified coaches and volunteers who run coaching and activity sessions on Sundays. There are refreshments available from the clubhouse for parents, spectators and family.

The newly formed Colts team start their league campaign at home to Bradford & Bingley on Sunday, kick off 1.0.

Anybody interested in playing is more than welcome at the club on a Sunday or they can contact junior chairman Marc Turnbull (marc.turnbull@blueyonder.co.uk) or director of rugby Nick O'Connor (nickjoconnor@btinternet.com).
