Police hold man over stab death

Police are continuing to hold a 31-year-old man in connection with the murder of a man in Barnsley.
Ian Stewart, 26, died after he was found with a single stab wound to his chest in New Street, Darfield, on Saturday night.

Police were called by paramedics following reports of a altercation between two men.

Mr Stewart, who lived in New Street, was pronounced dead at hospital in Barnsley.

The 31-year-old arrested on suspicion of murder is also from Darfield, police said.
