Teenage cyclist dies in accident
An 18-year-old cyclist has died in a collision with a lorry in a car park near York Racecourse.
A police spokesman said the woman suffered serious injuries after she was involved in the accident behind the course, off Bishopthorpe Road.
The cyclist, who has not been named, was pronounced dead at the scene. Police have appealed for witnesses.
