Dancing with Girls Aloud... and getting paid for it
LOCAL model and dancer Nader Musharbash must be the envy of thousands of men.
For the past seven weeks he has been getting raunchy and up close with the UK's No 1 girl band, Girls Aloud. And what's more he is being paid for the privilege.
The 23-year-old is one of six male dancers on the group's Out Of Control tour, which ends tomorrow in Newcastle. The high energy and sexy show has had rave reviews on the music and dance front.
Nader hopes his slick performance will be good enough to gain him a place on the Michael Jackson tour later this year. He has auditioned for the show and will find out if he has been successful early next week.
Courier fashion followers will recognise Nader's face. He is on the books of the Lousie Morton Model Agency and has taken part in numerous Courier fashion shows at the Victoria Theatre over the last few years.
The agency was started in Calderdale by the late Lousie Morton and is now owned by former model Bernadette Gledhill.
Nader trained at the Northern School of Contemporary Dance in Leeds and studied ballet, contemporary dance and jazz. He then worked at Pineapple Studios in London, and now lives in the capital.
He says the Girls Aloud tour has been an amazing experience. The dancers - he is the only one from the north - have shared a tour bus with the band, and everyone involved in the show stops at the same hotel.
"The girls are just so easy to work with and we are all like one big happy family." While he loves Cheryl, Kimberley, Nicola and Sarah, his favourite is Nadine and they have become firm friends.
Nader, who is also a choreographer, has worked with Rachel Stevens, Lemar, Blazing Squad and Pink, in the past.
He is featured in Hello magazine with Girls Aloud and will shortly be dancing with singer, Pixie, on The Graham Norton Show.
