Slovakian thug Viktor Lakatos who launched a brutal knuckle-duster attack on an 89-year-old defenceless jeweller has been jailed at Bradfrod Crown Court. Viktor Lakatos, 42, was eventually hunted down for the barbaric attack and received an 18-year extended prison sentence on Monday (11/1) following a complex police inquiry. The shocking snaps of Colin Butlin's bloodied and battered face were first published in November 2014 - in an attempt to track down his attacker. Bradford Crown Court heard that the hard-working pensioner, who travelled daily to his jewellery store in Keighley, West Yorks., had died a few days after his 90th birthday last summer - never knowing if his attacker would be condemned to prison.

Inquest: ‘Dad never got over attack’

An elderly jeweller who died less than a year after being brutally attacked on his doorstep had been “turned into more of an old man” by the vicious assault, an inquest heard.
