Hebden Bridge comes under top 50 kids activities

Hunting for bugs and campfire cooking in Harcastle Crags have been voted as some of the top activities for children across Yorkshire to partake in.

The Hebden Bridge past times form part of the National Trust’s best things to do before you’re 113/4 scheme on both a national and local basis.

While bug-hunting is one of the four Yorkshire activities out of the 50 named nationally, a list from just under 2,000 children across Yorkshire was then drawn up, who voted on their best experiences including cooking campfires on the Crags, hunting for fossils on the Yorkshire Coast and bird watching at Marsden Moor.

Nationally, the top 50 places climbing a tree at the top, followed by rolling down a big hill, camping in the wild, building a den and skimming a stone.
