Exley turns into Dodge City...

BOUNCING balls were ducked and diverted at a special dodgeball tournament.

Around 300 hundred people – including the dodgeball national champions – attended the event at Park Lane High School, Exley, Halifax.

Rugby players and students – and their mums and dads – all took part in mixed and single-sex teams.

Halifax-based babyballet – which teaches song and dance to young children – also had a bash at ducking the flying balls.

James Price, director of organiser Interdodgeball, said: “It went really well. And it was played in a great spirit.

“We had teams from the Calderdale area, but also from some of the big universities, including as far away as Staffordshire and Lincolnshire.”
