‘Where’s Wally?’ have been the words riding on the tips of tongues of many punters of the Ring O’ Bells over the years.

Legend has it that a ghost named Walter or ‘Wally’ has lurked in the cellar of the Halifax pub over the centuries.

And now this Halloween Wally could finally be found as local paranormal experts come on board to investigate some spooky goings on.

Over the years, many staff and customers at the pub - which stands next to a churchyard - have had ghostly experiences varying from feeling a presence, to unexplained smells and even taps turning themselves on.

And on Thursday, October 31, supernatural investigators and resue mediums will be meeting at the Ring O’ Bells from 7.30pm for a ghost hunting tour around the venue.

Everyone is welcome to come and join in and - if brave enough - enter the haunted cellar which will be open for the evening.

Landlord Dave Rossiter, 22, said: “It’s getting into the spirit of things pardon the pun.

“A lot of people do come in and say they experience ghostly activities.”
