THE best music of the ‘80s will be celebrated during a weekend-long festival near London - and the Courier has a pair of tickets worth more than £200 to give away.
The annual Rewind Festival gets under way at Temple Island Meadows in Henley-on-Thames this year from August 19 to 21.
About 40,000 music fans are expected to flock to the festival, which this year features acts including Human League, Bananarama, Village People, Billy Ocean, Boy George, Nik Kershaw, Toyah and Kim Wilde.
As well as the music, the festival boasts infatable spas, a silent disco, themed bars and the world’s frst solar powered cinema showing classic ‘80s blockbusters, independent flms and comedy shorts.
Peter Cox and Richard Drummie of Go West are back at Rewind for the third year running. Peter says: “Appearing at the Rewind Festival 2010 was one of the highlights of our year and we can’t wait to rock the crowd again in 2011. The atmosphere is fantastic – I can’t think of a better way to spend a weekend.”
