Ripponden-based JLA Ltd has beaten some of the best-known names in commerce and industry to be shortlisted for the prestigious national customer service awards 2008.
JLA is the UK's leading supplier of commercial laundry systems to the housing sector.

The awards, announced later this month, celebrate the impact that excellent customer service can make on consumers and business performance.

JLA has been short listed as a finalist, alongside Fujitsu, RM Education and RBS Insurance for the Customer Service Award for Field Service Management from an entry of 25.

"With over 22,000 installations nationwide, excellent customer service is imperative for our business," says operations director Alan Turk-ington.

He praised national service manager Nick Smith and his team.

"Many of our customers operate in highly sensitive sectors such as elderly care and hotels so they are completely reliant on the quality of our systems and our service.

"We have developed a highly sophisticated and effective customer service operation here at JLA and we are enormously proud that has been recognised by the National Customer Service Awards," said Mr Turkington.

JLA supplies commercial laundry systems to a wide range of public and private sector customers in leisure, healthcare, and education.
