Hebden Bridge nurseryman Michael Mitchell has won a coveted "premier" medal for his display of alpine and woodland plants at the Harrogate Spring Flower Show.
This is the next award up from the gold award which Michael, who owns Slack Top Nursery and Garden won at the autumn version of the show last year.
He also collected a trophy for the second best stand in the show and a gold medal from the Alpine Garden Society.
"This has been absolutely amazing and totally unexpected," he said. "My wife Allison and I are working hard to show people new and exciting ways to use alpines as the vast majority are very easy garden plants."
