THE managing director of a jewellery chain is running this year's Virgin London Marathon.
Jonathan Stoner, who heads Phillip Stoner the Jeweller, which has a branch in Southgate, Halifax, is raising funds for the British Heart Foundation.

His father, Phillip, suffered a major heart attack in 2007 but made a good recovery thanks to the work of the British Heart Foundation.

Jonathan is taking part in the run as part of the BHF team and hopes to complete it in four hours.

It will be his first marathon. He aims to raise at least £2,000 for the charity.

Jonathan said: "I've never been a runner and never entered a race so the challenge is exciting, if a little daunting."
