TOWN have drafted in Southport midfielder Bradley Barnes as cover for the suspended Tom Baker.
And the 20-year-old will go straight into the squad - and almost certainly the team - for this afternoon's Unibond One North trip to AFC Fylde.
Barnes, a former Bolton Wanderers junior, joined the Sandgrounders in the summer from Trafford, and previously had a trial at Morecambe.
He was a member of the Trafford side, along with former Town loanee Harry Winter, that drew 2-2 at the Shay towards the end of last season.
Barnes, who trained with the rest of the Town squad on Thursday evening, was on the bench last weekend for Southport's Blue Square North trip to Redditch.
Baker begins a three-match ban today and also misses the games at home to Radcliffe on Tuesday and away to Trafford in seven days time. He will return for the trip to Woodley Sports on March 30.
AFC Fylde are expecting a crowd approaching four figures for this afternoon's game which was originally made all-ticket.
Almost 800 tickets were sold, but the club has confirmed that fans can now pay on the gate.
