Former Watford boss Aidy Boothroyd is the favourite with bookmakers Sky Bet to replace Stan Ternent as Huddersfield Town boss.
The Terriers parted company with Ternent this morning (Tuesday) after a disappointing start to the season - and now speculation is rife that Boothroyd, who was sacked by Watford on Monday - will fill his shoes.

Bradford born Boothroyd, who was par
t of Kevin Blackwell's coaching staff at Leeds before taking the Watford post, is even money with Sky Bet to head back to Yorkshire as Terriers boss after being the subject of a major gamble today.

Sky Bet's head of PR, Helen Jacob, said: "This is the second gamble on Boothroyd in less than 24 hours. We got stung on his being axed from Watford, so we're keeping a close eye on this market and after a flood of bets from the Huddersfield area, we've already wracked up a four figure liability."

John Ward, who was axed as Carlisle manager on Monday, is 6/1 second favourite to take the reins.

Ex-Burnley boss Steve Cotterill is quoted at 9/1, with Huddersfield veteran and current assistant manager of Morecambe, Mark Lillis, available at 12/1.
