Clayton Victoria won the Halifax Association's Rose Bowl for a second time on Friday with a 202-186 victory over Hebden Royd Park.
Clayton were conceding 45 start at Greenroyd BC but won the first four games to eat into the deficit.
Peter Jagger launched the attack with a 21-8 victory over Peter Jackson and Graham Roberts increased the pressure as he converted a 14-5 lead into a 21-13 win against John Simpson.
Tony Riley's 21-18 victory against Derek Senior was hard won as Senior fought back from 6-12 to level at 15 and 18 before conceding defeat. Ian Briggs led Harry Ashworth by 15-9 before winning by 21-16.
At this stage, Clayton had reduced the arrears to 16 and Philip Lister reduced it further with his 21-11 win against Alan Dickinson, before John Hartley and Wayne Berry brought Hebden Royd back into the game.
Hartley raced to a 8-0 lead over Paul Kaye before winning 21-10 and Berry led Steve Wilkinson 10-0 before going on to win by 21-14. Richard Bentley kept Clayton in the hunt with his 21-7 result against Steve Trewartha.
With two games to be completed, Hebden Royd were 10 points ahead but their hopes were dashed as both Clayton players won to single figures.
David Scott led by 9-0 before winning by 21-7 against Shawn Frewin and Paul Gill confirmed Clayton's grip on the Rose Bowl with his 21-9 success against David Wray.
