NORTHOWRAM Hedge Top became the first team in the league to break through the 100-point barrier for the season with a battling home victory over mid-table Warley in the Premier Division on Saturday.
Veteran left armer Ian Stocks put them in the driving seat, taking five for 65 as the visitors totalled a below-par 179 all out.

Opener Dave Atkinson made 53 and Tim O'Callaghan 66 but the visitors let a strong position slip, having been 130 for three.

Former first team skipper Rob Keywood, on the way back from injury, got plenty of swing with the new ball and dismissed Martin Kirkbride with the first delivery of Northowram's reply.

Keywood and Shaun Charnley took three wickets apiece to leave the outome very much in doubt at 116 for six and when Danny Fearon was out for 36 it was 134 for seven.

However, Ian Mallard (34 no) and Faizan Saghir (30 no) guided the home side to an eighth 10-point win in 11 matches this season.

Sowerby Bridge and Jer Lane maintained their pursuit with wide-margin victories.

James Taylor (81) shared in stands of 79 for the first wicket with skipper Russell Bland (31) and 114 for the second wicket with Chris Roy (49) as Bridge piled up 277 for five at Southowram.

The home side lost three wickets on 62 and another three on 119 as they replied with 149.

Jer Lane's reputation as a formidable batting force was maintained as they piled up a match-winning 357 at home to bottom club King Cross.

Openers Stuart Dawson (73) and Paul Walker (98) laid the platform and Tony Dawson (80) and Jordan Laban (58) took full toll on the labouring Cross bowlers.

Daniel Ramsden's five for 20 helped dismiss Cross for 166 in reply.

Copley sprung the shock of the day in the top section by beating second-placed Triangle.

Tracey Whippey was run out four short of a century as the visitors totalled 224 for nine, five of his teammates falling to rugby ace Jamie Bloem.

Copley comfortably knocked off the required runs with 71 from Mark Thristan and 60 from Stuart Hazelton.

Mytholmroyd are joint bottom with King Cross after a seven-wicket defeat at Thornton, where David Holmes made 102 for the hosts.

There were a couple of centuries in the Division One game at Clayton. Peter Galley made 122 for the hosts, who fell just eight runs short of Bradshaw's 299, which included 101 from Mike Turner at the top of the order.
