ILLINGWORTH bid to become the first team to retain the Towergate Halifax League Sunday Section's Rod Warhurst Cup at Queensbury tomorrow (2.0).
Carl Gornall's side, who are flying high in Division One following promotion, will start warm favourites against a Rastrick side seeking their first piece of silverware in the section after 10 years of trying.
However, a largely young Rastrick side will not be short of confidence for the 45 overs per side contest having yet to taste defeat in Division Two this season.
Poor weather on Sundays this year has made it rough going for the pair in their run to the final.
Illingworth defied poor conditions to win their semi-final at Elland late in the day while Rastrick finally saw off Blackley on Tuesday night.
Gornall's men will be looking for a repeat of last year's crushing win over Blackley at the same venue, Nazakat Ali becoming the first player to score a century in a Sunday Section final.
His 115, after being dropped before he scored, helped Illingworth to 238 and the experienced Kevin Doherty's six for 18 helped dismiss Blackley for 113 in reply.
Queensbury will not only provide tomorrow's venue but also the umpires in John Senior and Steve Pullan, who are both on the league panel.

ROD WARHURST CUP FINAL PEN PICS
ILLINGWORTH

Carl Gornall (captain): Led Illingworth to a third team double last year and has got the side back to the cup final while giving the youngsters opportunities.
Nazakat Ali: Big hitting batsman who hit 12 sixes in last year's final. Has been in fine form again this year with a 48-ball hundred at Booth best knock. More than useful with the ball too.
Michael Bright: A 15-year-old in his third team debut season and making his mark with the ball, including a five for 21 return at Booth. Also capable with the bat as his 33 not out against Barkisland showed.
Michael Chaffin: Slow left arm bowler with good variation. Made his club debut this season and took five wickets in the group stages. Can bat a bit as well.
Callum Cook: Elder of the Cook brothers and in great form, carrying his bat for 133 not out last weekend. Has also taken eight wickets this year.
Stephen Cook: Only 15 but making runs in the under 17s and thirds with 61 not out against Northowram. Solid top order batter who is one of eight survivors from last year's final victory.
Andrew Dixon: Middle order batsman who hits the ball hard. A key member of the under 17s and has been pushing for a second XI place.
Liam Kelly: Quick bowler who can also open the batting. Scored a crucial 36 in the semi-final victory at Elland as well as 59 at Blackley earlier in the competition.
Jamie Moorhouse: One of many all-rounders in the team, Jamie has been superb this year. Medium pace swing bowler and a quick scoring top order batsman who scored 89 off 62 balls at Booth.
Daniel Patchett: Wicketkeeper and a middle order batsman, Daniel came back to the club after a year off playing. Has six victims this year and only conceded 16 byes en route to the final.
Ben Robertshaw: Captain of the under 17s, Ben's game has developed this year. He hit his maiden 50 in the group game at Blackley. A useful bowling option with steady pace and movement.
Luke Brooksby (12th man): All-rounder who scored a valuable 23 not out in the semi-final win at Elland as well as taking three catches. Has only played three games this season due to a foot injury.

RASTRICK
Mike Jagger (captain): Veteran player with 50 years' experience. A prolific wicket-taker with his off spin. Also president of the club.
Jason Middleton: Has been at the Round Hill club for five years. Mainstay batsman of the side. Very solid and scores heavily.
Matthew Essex: Hard hitting middle order batsman who has come through the junior ranks at the club.
Nick Marsden: Genuine all-rounder - medium fast bowler and reliable middle order batsman. Another product of the club's junior section.
Gary Nicholson: First year out of the juniors and a much improved batsman and excellent fielder.
Anil Singh: Another player making the transition from junior to senior cricket this season. Very good all-rounder, medium pace bowler and reliable batsman.
Simon Farlow: First year out of juniors. A more than useful early order batsman and medium pace bowler.
Chris Dennison: An under-17s player who is a solid left handed batsman and useful, quickish bowler.
Dave Hanley: Wicketkeeper. Has been at the club since Rastrick joined the Sunday Section. Very reliable keeper, especially standing up to the wicket.
Nick Spence: In his first year with the Sunday side after playing for the juniors and making an impact with his medium fast bowling.
Daniel Thaxter: An under-17s player who is a more than useful batsman and medium pace bowler.
Joe Whiteley: A useful early order batsman who also plays for the under 17s.
Oliver Marsh: Ever improving batsman and leg break bowler who is a member of the club's under 15s.
