FC HALIFAX Town's FA Cup adventure will begin in the north-east after they were drawn to play the winners of the West Auckland/Brandon United clash in the preliminary round on August 29.
Halifax will be looking to make a better impression in the country's premier knockout competition after crashing out 4-1 at Nantwich Town last season.

The early rounds of the FA Carlsberg Trophy have also been drawn with Halifax facing a trip to familiar foes in Trafford in the preliminary round on October 3

Should they get through that match they play host to Staffordshire-based Romulus in the first qualifying round which is due to be played on October 17.

Meanwhile Brighouse Town's first ever foray into a national knockout competition sees them paired away with perennial Northern Counties East League strugglers Glasshoughton Welfare or Tadacaster Albion in the second qualifying round of the FA Vase.

The tie is scheduled to be played on Saturday September 19

to save the towns folk from the humiliation of going out of the FA cup so early why not withdraw from the FA Cup now. The money saved on the coach fare would be more than the take at a home game. The saem applies to the Carlsberg Trophy - what is Romulus - a posh girls school. If it was the players would probably have a chance of scoring...
