TOWN boss Jim Vince is expecting tomorrow's clash against Lancaster City at the Shay (3.0) to be an open affair.
Both sides need to win - the Shaymen to maintain their top five status and sixth-placed Lancaster to keep alive their hopes of reaching the play-offs.
And the Halifax boss, whose side were beaten 2-0 at the Giant Axe in August, believes that an open game will be good for his team.
"We have to beat them and they have to beat us," said Vince. "It should be end to end and I think that will suit us.
"And we owe them after they beat us earlier in the season."
Vince and his players are going into the game in good heart after their battling win at Clitheroe in midweek.
And the manager believes that things are starting to turn for his team as they approach the final month of the campaign.
"They showed an appetite on Tuesday like they did at Newcastle," he said. "The problem last weekend was that we never really recovered from conceding the first goal.
"At Clitheroe there was good endeavour, especially given the conditions.
"The team wants what the supporters want. There is no doubt about that.
"Some performances have been questioned - I have done it myself.
"Tuesday showed how strong we are as a team because not many would have gone there and fancied it."
Vince is likely to have Junior Brown available tomorrow after he missed the trip to Shawbridge as a precaution.
"Junior could have played on Tuesday but after consulting Alan Russell Cox it was decided, because the pitch was so heavy, he could aggravate his injury if he played," said Vince.
"It was a precautionary decision and a calculated risk which came off because we won the game."
With Brown available, Vince has a number of decisions to make ahead of tomorrow's clash, notably in central midfield where Ritchie Sutton, Damien Allen, Paul Evans and Tom Baker are all battling for a place in the side.
Vince is hoping for a further boost in the next week or so with Paul Gedman on the way back from injury.
The big frontman has not played since January but is back in training and could yet play a part in the climax to the season.
"Paul might possibly be ready in a week to 10 days," said Vince. "We don't want to rush him back, but it would be a great boost to have him."

HALIFAX Town Supporters Club are looking for more volunteers to take part in the Ossett 'Obble on Good Friday.
A group of fans will walk the 15 miles from the Shay to Albion's Dimple Wells ground, setting off at 7am.
Supporters Club members will be inside the Skircoat Road and South Stand turnstiles before tomorrow's game to offer further information.
Sponsorship forms are available from Dave Neatby on 01422 203037 or 07743 978567.
