FC Halifax Town v Warrington Town: Shaymen going for goal

THE race is on to become the first FC Halifax Town player to score a goal at the Shay, starting with tonight's visit of Warrington Town.
Three home games so far have ended in blanks for the Shay sharpshooters.
But four away from home at Ryton at the weekend have raised hopes that all that is about to change.
Adam Morning has scored in each of the last two games - both away from home - and Ashley Stott took his tally for the season to three on Tyneside.
But there is a new kid on the block as well with Paul Gedman having opened his account with a double on his debut in the Cup.
Despite all the talk of goals, manager Jim Vince is more concerned about points, something else that has been short supply in the opening five Unibond League Division One North games.
"I don't like where we are in the league at the moment," said the Shay boss.
"Now we need to take the good bits from Saturday's game and give a performance at the Shay.
"We need to give the supporters the feelgood factor.
"Those who were at Ryton left the ground happy because the scoreline reflected the game.
"But we are still a long way from where we want to be.
"We have to be confident in our approach tonight and play football.
"Once we start winning games, the performances will take care of themselves."
Vince was giving nothing away about team selection ahead of this evening's game.
But he is likely to stick largely with the side that won through in the Cup as he looks for continued improvement from last week's dismal defeat at Mossley.
"We made Mossley look like world beaters," said Vince. "They were good - but not that good.
"Warrington will be fired up for the game just like Durham were. Any team coming to the Shay will fancy it and we have got to deal with that.
"It is no good playing well on Saturday and not turning up tonight. We have got to make sure it happens."
FC Halifax Town could face supporters' team FC United of Manchester in the second qualifying round of the FA Cup.
But they will have to wait until United play fellow Unibond League Premier Division outfit Nantwich in a first qualifying round replay at Gigg Lane tomorrow night.
The tie is scheduled to be played on Saturday, September 27 but Bury play Wycombe in a League Two clash at Gigg Lane on that day.
Should FC United of Manchester progress Town will travel across the Pennines on Sunday, September 28 (3.0).
Darren Lyons, a member of Halifax's Conference winning side, is player-coach at FC United.
