FC Halifax Town 1 Warrington Town 0Paul Gedman scored the first-ever FC Halifax Town goal at the Shay to to give them victory in tonight's Unibond League Division One clash with Warrington.
Gedman's historic strike came after 11 minutes with a delightful chip over the advancing keeper after he had pounced on a poor back pass.
And he could have had a second soon after but headed a Justin Walker corner narrowlly over the top.
Lincoln Adams saw a goalbound header cleared off the line and Kris King headed a Cavell Coo cross over the top and Coo fired into the side netting when well placed as Town dominated.
Gedman headed a Walker corner wide early in the second half but Town were far more subdued in the second half, allowing Warrington to see more of the ball.
Jon Kennedy saved comfortably from Danny Toone and David Thompson while Kris King did well to block a Phil Hadland shot midway through the half.
